On April 14, the new incidents of violence shook the Bhangar area in the Parganas South 24 of Western Bengal, even when the police affirmed that the situation of the law and the order in Murshidabad remained largely under control.

Two requests in the Supreme Court have requested an investigation monitored by the Court on violence. The lawyer Shasank Shekhar Jha presented a pill that the Court seeks to establish a special investigation team (SIT), while another was presented by defender Vishal Tiwari who sought the constitution of a SC judge headed by the Judicial Investigation Commission of five members.

One of the pleas sought an address to the state government to present a report in the Superior Court on violence, apart from the instructions to protect the life and properties of people. The Center recently notified the WAQF (amendment) law of 2025, which is considered President Droupadi Murmu on April 5 after his approval of Parliament after heated debates in both chambers. The bill was approved in Rajya Sabha with 128 members voting in favor and 95 opposing it. He was authorized by Lok Sabha with 288 members who supported him and 232 against him.
