V. Vijaya Pabhakaran, son of the late desiya Murpokku Dravida Kazhagam (DMDK) Founder Vijayakant, has been declared secretary of the youth wing of the party. The announcement was held at a meeting of the General Council of Parties and the Executive Committee in Vellisandai, Palacode, on Wednesday (April 30, 2025).
Vijaya Pabhakaran had challenged Virudhunagar’s constitution, losing to the candidate of Congress Manickam Tagore, in Lok Sabha elections last year.
The announcement was made by the party leader and General Secretary Prelalatha Vijayakant, who also sought unified support and cooperation from the bases up for his appointment.
