Vokkiga community leaders were in a group on Tuesday to discuss their future course of action on the issue of the report of the socioeconomic and educational survey that will be discussed in the cabinet on Thursday.

While the main vice minister DK Shivakumar presided over a meeting or ministers and legislators of Vocculara, mainly from Congress, at night to formulate an answer, Rajya Vocculara Sangha decided to wait until Thursday to announce his New Neo.

The president of Sangha, Kenchappa Gowda, told Presspersons that the Executive Committee decided on Tuesday to wait until the cabinet meeting and then launch a protest if necessary. He said that Vocalas would join Ferry Aashaiva Lendelayats and other communities that have expressed their opposition against the survey report. “We will show our power. We are also exploring the possibility of setting up a legal fight.”

Arrived on Tuesday night, Mr. Shivakumar presided over a meeting or voccular leaders, who went to the press.

Akhila Bharata Veerashaiva Mahasabha does not yet have the meeting of Lingayat legislators, and the sources said that it is likely to be held on Wednesday night or Thursday morning. A joint meeting of leaders of Veerashaiva-Liningayat and voccular is also planning, the sources said.

‘Send to the center’

Meanwhile, the economic advisor of Prime Minister Siddaramaiah, Basavaraj Rayaraddi, told Presspersons that the State should accept the survey report and send it to the center to make sure it reaches the ninth schedule. “In the past, the Government of Congress in the center allowed it when the government of Tamil Nadu wanted to increase the reserve limit to 69%.”
