The increase in salaries together with the launch of the Sthree Cutana campaign in Mysuru Rural has given a new impulse to the National Guarantee of Rural Employment of Mahatma Gandhi (MGENGREGA) among the unemployed youth and women.
The Government has traveled the minimum wages under the MGENGA of ₹ 349 to ₹ 370 per day, and thought that the walk is fashion, it is expected to make a significant differentiation for daily bets.
The administration of MySuru Zilla Panchayat and District launched a campaign in the periyapatana earlier this week and distributed work cards to women were the focus of the unit.
The deputy director (Panchayati Raj) Vasantha Lakshmi said that women should assume work under this scheme to be economically trained. She opened the “Special Campaign of Sthree Chetana” distributing work cards and said that her goal was to increase the participation of women under the Mngrega from 50% to 60%.
She said that the priority is to ensure that the women’s workforce obtains employment for 100 days in a continuous basic, since this would help to empower them financial. The authorities are trying to fulfill the objective through women’s self -help groups to obtain work under the MGENGA so that they can assume community work such as the construction of ponds, drains, compound walls and metal paths in rural areas.
The authorities said that families without a work card can visit their respective Gram Panchayat offices, provide the required documents and obtain work cards. A human chain was also formed as part of the campaign in Perijapatana to promote the MGENGA salary walk.
When commenting on the comments of the beneficiaries, the authorities said that the increase in daily salaries under the MGENGE has been received by Apexy by workers in rural areas. For young people who benefited from Mngrega in the past, the salary walk is a motivation to stay in the villages instead of migrating to the city, according to the authorities.
The MGGREGA scheme guarantees 100 days of salary employment in a financial year for each home, and 100 days of work can help a home win ₹ 37,000. As there was a shortage of workers in rural areas, Zilla Panchayat launched a series of awareness programs on the MGENGA and its walk. This was expected to push many more people to opt for the scheme, according to M. Krishnaraju, Undersecretary (Development), Zilla Panchayat, Mysuru.
According to the authorities, it is perceived that MGNREGA is a source of livelihood for landless workers once the agricultural season and harvest are.
