The wisdom Islamic Youth Organization described the WAQF law as aggression in minority rights. “It is not simply a problem of the Muslim community. It is an aggression on the rights of all minorities,” said a youth camp of wisdom organized in Tiraur on Sunday (April 13, 2025).

Inaugurating the camp, the youth president of wisdom, K. Thajudhen Swalahi, said the government of the Union was trying to destroy the concept of WAQF under the appearance of the amendment of the law. “The Government is trying to take away the fundamental freedom guaranteed to minorities by the Constitution,” he said.

The camp condemned the attempts of the Hindu right -wing groups, backed by the Government, to snatch institutions and places of worship belonging to minorities in different parts of the country.

The camp urged people to be aware of the groups trying to obtain temporary profits from the WAQF problem. Those who try to destroy the country’s community friendship by constantly making communal and divisive comments should also be exposed, he said.

He asked political parties not to support those people who try to divide society on behalf of caste and religion.
