In a historical judgment this month, the Supreme Court invoked its powers under article 142 of the Constitution to give effect to 10 bills re-applied by the Legislative Assembly of Tamil Nadu. The court criticized Governor RN Ravi for delaying action in these bills, calling his unconstitutional conduct and accusing him of acting as an obstacle.
