BWSSB is expected to increase water rates by 3 percent per year, according to the department.
According to the revised rates, there are four slabs for national connections:
– In the first slab (0–8000 liters), the water rate before the walk was RS 7. This has a bone influenced by 0.15 lands per liter.

While talking with CNN-News 18Manohar said that the last review of the Toke Place rate in 2014.

For high -rise buildings, where the water was previously charged to a flat RS 22 per kilolitro rate (KL), the reviewed price will also include slabs based increases.
For domestic buildings of great height, up to 2,00,000 liters, an increase or 0.30 lands per liter is proposed. While 2.00.001 to 5,00,000 liters, you will see an increase or 0.60 lands per liter and above 5,001 liters, an increase or 1 paisa per liter.
For non -domestic use, a flat walk or 0.90 lands per liter is proposed for bulk use. While up to 10,000 liters will cost 1 liter of Paisa more and 10,001 to 25,000 liters, 1.30 lands per liter. Between 25,001 and 50,000 liters, an increase or 1.50 lands per liter is proposed. For 50,001 to 75,000 liters, there will be an increase or 1.90 lands per liter.
But for 75,001 to 1,00,000 liters, the walk is only 1.10 lands per liter and more than 1.00,000 liters, it is 1.20 lands per liter, said Manhar.
The president of the Water Board emphasized the need to increase water tariffs, but noted that rates cannot be increased beyond a reasonable point. Hey mentioned that the Board is working to implement the clean and certified drinking water supply for all Bengaluru residents.
“The balance between the needs of the citizen and the sustainability of BWSSB will be guaranteed,” he told News18.
Amid increasing temperatures and growth groups on water shortage in Bangalore, the BWSSB has task steps to ensure that the city does not experience a repetition of the crisis last summer, when several areas faced water shortage for weeks.
More strict regulations were implemented, including sanctions due to improper use or drinking water for activities such as washing vehicles, cleaning roads or irrigation gardens. A fine of ₹ 5,000 for violations was imposed, with more than 112 reserved cases and fines collected.
Last year, a memorandum of understanding (MOU) was signed between the Bangalore Apartment Federation (BAF) and the BWSSB to facilitate the sale of water treated at purposes such as gardening and the toilet, after building their aquatic bailouts.
Meanwhile, the main vice minister DK Shivakumar is expected to also have the Bengaluru Development portfolio, throw a new project on April 15 aimed at making Cavey’s water connections more accessible to apartments associations and housing owners.
The scheme, introduced by the BWSSB, will allow those who cannot pay the full connection rate in advance to opt for monthly installments (EMI) for a period of 12 months.
“Twenty percent of the amount of demand, including charges in favor of relationships, meters charges, inspection charges and line costs, if applicable, will be paid as the first quota. 80 percent can be paid for the next 12 months.
