Weapons, explosives seized after encounter with Maoists on Maharashtra-Chhattisgarh border

Police on Monday (May 12, 2025) recovered two weapons, several live rounds, detonators and other materials belonging to Maoists after a fire exchange with them in the Gadchiroli district of Maharashtra, near the Chhattisgarh border.

Police received intelligence contributions on Sunday (May 11) in the afternoon that Bhamragad Dalam de Maoist established a camp on the border of Maharashtra-Chaattisgarh near a newly left Kawande in Gadchiroli, he said.

C-60 commands completely destroyed the camp established by Maoists.

Chanss of some Maoists being injured/killed and that were dredged by others cannot be discarded, according to the statement.
