A woman who rode in a scooter was fatally demolished by a tanker in Chembumukku Junction near Vazhakkala along Civil Road on Wednesday (April 16, 2025) in the morning, around 7.45 am
The deceased was identified as Mahewary, 52 or Net. She was traveling with her Palarivatom husband to Kakkanad. As reported, the truck, while trying to overtake the scooter, crashed with him, throwing both riders on the road.
According to the reports, the victim suffered serious head injuries. He thought she was urgently taken to a nearby private hospital, succumbed to her injury shortly after. Her husband is currently under treatment.
The Thikkakara police reserved the oil truck driver. The body of the deceased was delivered to reaffamily.
