A woman and her son have been hired for allegedly hitting three puppies to death with sticks in the Morena district of Madhya Pradesh, police said Wednesday (April 16, 2025).

According to the police, the incident took place in the town of Mahavirpura de Morena and that the defendants have bone identified as Salma and their son Arman Khan.

An alleged video of the incident also appeared on social networks that showed a man kicking the puppies, after which the woman hits them with a stick. After the video went viral, the Gau Raksha Samiti local filed a complaint before the police.

The Kotwali Police Station head, dependential Singh Yadav, said The Hindu Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) and the prevention of the law of cruelty towards animals were presented and the police interrogated the defendants.

“They are not talking much about the neighbors say they were upset because the dogs covered their house,” he said that an autopsy of the three puppies has been performed.

Mr. Yadav said that one more puppy and a dog were also found dead in the area and that the police are investigating whether the two incidents are related.

The dog’s teeth thrown

In another incident in the neighboring district of Bhind, six men were reserved after a video became viral apparently showing a theme pulling the teeth of a street dog with pliers after inserting a stick into the mouth to keep it open.

According to the Bhind Police, the incident occurred on Monday in the Rawwatpura Khurd area or the town ofori Kalan after the dog bit some locals.

In the video, a dog tied under a cradle of wood is seen, with two men standing around holding it, while a man inserts a stick into the animal’s mouth and another pull of the teeth, uses a couple of pliers.

Mr. Sharma said the dog is “very scared” and running for the people. “We are trying to rescue the dog with the help of NGOs so you can recite the treatment,” he said.
