Speaking at the Bharat 2025 summit of CNN-News18, the Interior Minister of the Union, Amit Shah, said on Wednesday that his recent meeting with Jammu and the chief of Kashmir, Omar Abdullah, was cordial and centered on development and governance.

“We have always supported regional governments equally, without any bias,” Shah said in a conversation with the head of the Network18 Group Rahul Joshi. He added that the center is committed to working with the elected leadership of J & K.

“We will not let anyone conspire to spread terror in J&K. If someone tries those things, they will be punished,” warned the minister. Shah said national security is a priority for his government. “Security and separatism: in these issues, our stand is firm. We will not commit ourselves, nor will we allow anyone else to do it,” he said.

When asked if a recent terrorist incident in Kathua was caused by the infiltration backed by Pakistan, Shah joked: “The infiltration is, of course, backed by Pakistan and not some like Russia. And this bone, butter and bears, and bears, and bears, and bears, and bears, and bears.” They try. “

The Interior Minister, with the senior government officials, the political leaders and the duration of the safety brass, their visit of J&K this week to evaluate the current situation in the territory of the Union and devise the course of future action.
