Working on plan to seek Centre’s help to rehabilitate residents affected by Pakistan shelling: J&K L-G

Lieutenant governor of Jammu and Kashmira, Broj Sinha, on Saturday (May 17, 2025) said that a comprehensive plan would be prepared to seek assistance from the center for the rehabilitation of residents affected by the bombing.

“Many houses and commercial properties here have been damaged due to the bombardment of the adversary. Today, I visited those places with a senior administrative officer, I saw the situation with my own eyes and interact with people to understand their.

He said that the administration has carried out an evaluation of losses and immediate assistance of the leg for people.

“Those who have no help so far, today will be provident,” he added.

However, the LG said that the assistance provided for people was not enough and that the UT government would see more center assistance.

“The Cashmiro Division Commissioner and the senior officials will prepare a comprehensive plan for the damage and, according to that, we will ask the central government and the rehabilitation to the affected persons,” he said.
