Delhi Budget 2025 Highlights: ₹300 crore allocated for pollution control initiatives

The BJP-led Delhi government on Tuesday tabled present its first Budget in the Assembly after more than 26 years.

Chief Minister Rekha Gupta, who also holds the portfolio of Finance Minister presented the Budget 2025-26 .

Chief Minister Gupta said, “Under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the BJP is presenting the Delhi Budget after 27 years. Just as Lord Ram returned to Ayodhya after 14 years of exile, we are returning after 27 years.”

Attacking the Delhi government for making a Budget without an economic survey, the Leader of Opposition (LoP) in the Legislative Assembly of the National Capital, Atishi, on Tuesday said that the government has admitted that they have not done any analysis to make the Budget.

“Is it a good thing that they are saying that they are forming a Budget with reviewing the situation of Delhi’s financial condition? I think this means that the Delhi government itself is admitting that they have not done any analysis to make this Budget,” Atishi told reporters.

elhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta on Tuesday presented ₹1 lakh crore FY26 Budget with ten focus areas, including electricity, roads, water, and connectivity.

Calling it a “historic Budget,” Gupta emphasized that the era of “corruption and inefficiency” was over, and announced that the government has doubled capital expenditure to ₹28,000 crore.
