Mumbai is iconic Drive Marine expansion Or called the Queen’s necklace, it is scheduled for an important transformation since the Maharashtra government has applied a plan to expand the picturesque coastal path of six to twelve lanes. This ambitious project aims to alleviate the early traffic congression along the 3 km section from the National Scenic Arts Center (NCPA) to the entrance of Mumbai Coastal Road. The decision is produced in response to the Conerns growing on the bottlenecks of the expected traffic after the end of the Orange Gate tunnel by 2028.
Address future traffic challenges
The Orange Gate tunnel, a double tunnel system of 6.52 km with a dedicated emergency lane, is designed to improve this-west connectivity in southern Mumbai. Connecting the Eastern Highway (which leads to Atal Setu) with the coastal road in Marine Drive, the tunnel will form a critical ring of ring for the city.
