Upcoming Highway and Bypass Projects Fueling Real Estate Growth in Kochi & Ernakulam

The center will assume all the cost of acquiring land around RS. 2,000 million rupees. At first, a 25% contribution from Kerala’s government was anticipated. Subsequently, the condition that the State provides exemptions on the positions of GST and royalties for land and construction aggregates was renounced. The state cabinet approved this request relaxing the KMMC rules, 2015.

Additional projects to strengthen connectivity

Together with the bypass, NHAI has updated the pipes to improve road infrastructure in the region. These include

  • Willingdon Island Road Corridor project: a 5.72-kilometer road, part of Kerala projects, will connect Willingdon’s island with the Aroor with section NH-66 edapply. The route begins in Cift Junction and extends to Netoor Junction.
  • High six-lane road at NH-66: The planned road includes the stretching of Edappally to Aroor and it is likely to start at the beginning of next financial year.
