Indian Super League (ISL) announced the inclusion of Mohammedan Sporting Club (MSC), one of the oldest active football clubs in the nation.
From the ISL 2024-25 season, Mohammedan SC will compete at the upper level of Indian football, which will raise the total number of clubs in the ISL to 13.
This promotion follows its triumphant winning campaign of title 2023-24 of the I-League, making them the second club after Punjab FC to obtain the ascent to the ISL.
Mohammedan SC won the I-League 2023-24 with 52 points, ensuring 15 victories and seven draws. The Kolkata club lost only twice its successful campaign, scoring 44 goals and specifying only 22. They will become the third Kolkata club in the ISL after the East Bengal FC and Mohun Bagan Super Giant.
