ISL 2024-25: Chennaiyin FC sign experienced Indian left-back Vignesh Dakshinamurthy on a 4-year deal

Before the next season of India Super League (ISL 2024-25), Chennaiyin FC has completed the 26-year-old defender’s signature Vigne Dakshinamurthy in a four-year contract.

Mainly a left side, Vignesh has also played in the center of the field and adds versatility and experience to the Chennaiyin background. It becomes the 12th summer firmation, joining people like sending Rao Dessai and PC Laldinpuia.

Vignesh found his career with the Ozone FC of Bengaluru, for whom he played for six years, three at the Academy and three with the first team. He made his senior debut at age 17 and one of Ozone’s star artists and went to his final round of the I-League 2 2018.

That same year, Vigneh approached the Super League India with the Mumbai City FC and represented the islanders more than 60 times combined in competitions, including four appearances in the AFC Champions League.

Explosive in the future and the efficient monitoring, Vigneh made the litera back to the left while he was in the city of Mumbai and was part of the team won two Isl shields (2021 and 2023) and an ISL cup (2021).

After spending five years in the city of Mumbai, Vigneh joined Hyderabad FC before the 2023-24 season. They played six games for Hyderabad before joining Odisha FC on loan earlier this year in January. He made 17 appearances in all competitions for the Juggernuts.

Vigneh was also part of the Indian team that ended runner -up in the 2018 Saff Championship.
