AI isn’t just sci-fi anymore; it’s part of what we do daily. Think about phone voice helpers and how credit scores are worked out. It even helps doctors figure out what’s wrong with people and helps scientists guess what will happen with the climate. Now that AI is so important, it’s clear that not everyone can get to it easily.

That’s why India is talking about giving developing countries fair access to AI at the AI Impact Summit in New Delhi. India is pushing for these countries to make sure tech helps everyone, not only those who have money. AI has people talking since it can change many things. For example, it can help doctors find diseases early. It can also help farmers figure out what to plant. Schools can use it to teach students in a better way, and the government can use it to make things run without a hitch.

But there’s a problem. If AI is only in the hands of a few rich countries and businesses, the world can be unfair. The countries that can pay for the tools and research for AI will gain a head start. But the countries that cannot afford the data, computers, and experts may be left behind.

India wants to fix this issue. They think AI can help close the gap between those who have technology and those who don’t, rather than make it wider.

India’s views are shaped by its digital growth and role as a leader for developing nations.Digital Achievements Projects such as Aadhaar, UPI, and CoWIN show how basic tech can fuel growth and increase involvement.India plans to create AI jobs for its young population.Supporting Growing NationIndia aids in connecting developed and developing countries. India’s message at the summit resonated with leaders from Africa, Southeast Asia, and Latin America. They emphasized that inequalities in vaccine access, energy resources, and trade should not be replicated in the digital space. A delegate from South Africa stated that their nations want to be involved in tech construction, not just be consumers of it.

Global support for this plan is really important for India, even at home. As AI changes the job market, we need Indians building AI, not just using it. By blending global standards with what we need here, we’re protecting our workers and businesses down the road. The New Delhi Summit might not change the AI world right away, but it started something important. India spoke up for billions of people in the Global South, making sure that fairness in AI is now always a part of the global tech conversation. But to make a real difference, everyone needs to be able to use it.

India’s focus at the New Delhi Summit is a good reminder that tech should be for everyone, not just a select few. By advocating for fair access to AI, India is helping guide the direction of tech and reshape the definition of global progress
