The situation in Murshidabad of Western Bengala became tense after violent protests over the WAQF legislation. The BJP accused the ruling TMC of not protecting Hindus in the midst of community violence reports.

A defender has approached the Supreme Court, looking for an investigation by the Special Investigation Team (SIT) monitored by the Court on the recent violence in the Murshidabad district of the West Bengala on the WAQF Law (amendment).

The lawyer Shasank Shekhar Jha presented the petition in the Supreme Court and said: “WAQF is an excuse, Hindus are the goal.” He asked the Court to issue an address for a SIT monitored by the Court to investigate community violence in Murshidabad and seek an explanation for the failure of the machine and order machinery.

Hello, he also requested an order to guarantee the protection of life and freedom of those who are currently affected and avoid greater escalation in current violence.

Parts of the West Bengal Murshidabad, which witnessed violent protests over the weekend on the WAQF (amendment) law, remain in time of the paramilitary forces that patrolled parts of the district. Three people have died and about 200 people have arrested in their legs in relation to disturbances.

The situation has been controlled, since state governor CV Ananda Bose said he was celebrating regular discussions with Prime Minister Mamata Banerjee while the center was monitoring the situation in the Muslim majority district.

However, the Bharatiya Janata (BJP) party has attacked the ruling government of the Trinamool Congress (TMC), accusing it of not protecting Hindus and inciting community violence in the outfit of WAQF protests. The opposition leader in Western Bengala, Suvendu Adhikari, said several Hindus were forced to flee from the Dhulian area to escape the violent Islamist mafia.

Several vehicles, including police trucks, were set on fire, stones were thrown into the security forces and stores, and police kiosks burned the duration of the uproar. The central forces were deployed in the district by order of the Superior Court of Calcutta.

Adhikari, Sukanta Majumdar Dilip Ghosh and the judge converted into MP Abhijit Gangopadhyay walked Sunday on a rally in Kolkata to protest the “appeasement policy” of the ruling TMC. There were fire reports caused, the bombs were thrown and people dragged outside their homes and beaten. Some reports even stated that women and girls in the district were abused of the gangsters.
