Sai Sudarsan, a young player for Gujarat Titans and Tamil Nadu, was speechless following his first call-up to the Indian ODI team. It was only the start of his journey, according to Sudarsan.
“I am at a loss for words, but it feels amazing. In an interview with Sportstar on Thursday, Sai Sudarsan said, “It is a dream come true for me, but at the same time, this is just the beginning, and there are many areas where I need to improve.”
Sai Sudarshan was a wise investment for the Gujarat Titans, who bought him for a base price of INR 20 lakh. He turned out to be a valuable asset. His increasing stature in the cricket world is demonstrated by the fact that his performances have not only brought him praise but also a contract with Surrey for the last three games of the 2023 County Championship.
Regarding his two-game stint with County, Sudarsan stated, “I learned a lot playing in all these tournaments, and the exposure it has given me has helped me improve as a batter.”
He went on, “But my first objective is to just concentrate on my match against Punjab tomorrow (Friday) and help the team qualify for the knockouts.”
Sai Sudarshan became a cricketing phenomenon in the 2023 Indian Premier League (IPL), exhibiting remarkable skill and confirming his status as a promising batsman for the Gujarat Titans.
Sudarshan’s performance during the competition was extremely impressive. With an astounding average of 51.71 and a strike rate of 141.4, he scored 362 runs in 8 games. Three half-centuries were part of his steady performance, which showed that he could be both an attacker and an anchor when necessary.
Sudarshan’s innings, which helped the Gujarat Titans post a formidable total of 214/4, stood out as one of the best in IPL final history, despite his team’s defeat.
