Karnataka census data show discrepancies in the figures of the Muslim population, with variables fully informed in all documents. A key error fails 12.58% of the population as 18.08%.

The data of the Karnataka Census commissions and the backward classes have revealed a great discrepancy in the population figures of the Muslim community, which was classified in category II B.
