The Supreme Court has said that it is an “unfortunate digression of reality” to believe that Hindi is the language of Hindus and Urdu of Muslims. A language is just an average by communication and does not represent a religion.
“Language is not religion. Language does not represent religion equally. Language belongs to a community, to a region, to people; and not to a religion is culture. Tahzeeb, or the Hindustani Tahzeeb, which is the cultural spirit composed of the plains of the north and the center of India”, a bench of the judges of Sudhanshu Dhulia and Vinod Chandran in a trial.
The judges voted for an appeal presented against the use of Urdu on the sign of a new building of the Municipal Council, Patur, in the district of Akola de Maharashtra. The signaling ‘Municipal Council, Patur’ was written in Marathi and then in Urdu. The appellant, Varshaatai, former member of the Municipal Council, said that Marathi was the official language of the state of Maharashtra. Urdu’s use was “incorrect.”
The court said Urdu was not an alien language. He was born and nurtured in India, and reached greater refinement and became a language of choice for poets in India.
‘Incorrect opinion’
“The preliminary children of the wrong idea that Urdu is foreign to India. This opinion, we are afraid, is incorrect as Urdu, such as Marathi and Hindi, is an Indo-Aario language,” Judge Dhulia said.
The court said Hindi and Urdu were fundamentally a language.
“When we criticise urdu, we are in a Way Also Criticization Hindi … True, Urdu Is Mainly Written in Nastaliq and Hindi in Devanagari; But The Scripts do not make a longguage. and Theirus and Theiru and Theiru and Theirus and Theirus and Theirus and Theirus and theirs, and Theirus and Hisy, his years, his years, his his own, his his own, his subscription, his Syty and his synthetrax, and his symptom, and his Pahies Suy and his pahies.
The fusion of the two languages, Hindi and Urdu, with an obstacle in the form of Puritans on both sides and Hindi became more Sanskrit and Urdu more, explained Judge Dhulia.
“A schism operated by the colonial powers by dividing the two languages into religion. It was now understood that the Hindi was the language of the Hindus and urdu of the Muslims, which is such a unfortunate digression of reality; of unity, the concept of Jud and him.
The daily Hindi of the common man was dotted with terms Urdu, Judge Dhulia said.
“The word ‘Hindi’ comes from the Persian word ‘Hindavi’! This vocabulary exchange flows in both directions because Urdu also has many words that delete other Indian languages, including the Sanskrit,” Judge Dhulia said.
Urdu was adopted by many union states and territories as its second official language in the exercise of powers conferred by article 345 of the Constitution. The states that have Urdu as one of the official languages were Andhra Pradesh, Bihar, Jharkhand, Telangana, Uttar Pradesh and Western Bengala, while the territories of the Union that follow this practice were Delhi and Jammu and Cashmir.
“We must respect and rejoice in our diversity, including our many languages … In the 2011 census, the number of maternal languages incassed to 270. This number also came to consideration only to the mother of the mother, therefore, therefore, it was more than 000 than three.
